What if there were free play groups where families could meet and socialize? What if their young children could play and get to know each other in a fun, safe and enriching environment?

Essential Skills

Play & Learn groups are designed for children ages 1 to 5 to play and get to know each other in a fun, safe and enriching environment. Their adults are right alongside them, joining in the fun and getting to know the other adults.

When playing with, or alongside, their peers, children naturally develop key motor skills, socialization, confidence and imagination. These are essential experiences that develop a child's social/emotional skills so they are comfortable and prepared to start school.

Growing Gardeners

In spring and summer, science and gardening grow together at the Family Center’s community garden beds. Watch the schedule to learn when to join us each growing season for refreshments, play time, relaxation and lots of hands-on activities that teach young children about plant growth, soil, weather, garden-to-table snacks and so much more.

Why?

Because kids love dirt! AND, it’s FREE and FUN. Hands-on experiences for children and families provide the very best opportunities for a young child’s learning.

Check back for schedule updates. We've added a Play & Learn at Preston School on the second FRIDAY or each month. We're planning to add one in the Wallenpaupack South area, too.
